Urban Green is delighted to have secured planning consent to restore the Grade two-listed Crimble Mill, delivering 214 homes across the 56-acre Green Belt site.
The project was without lots of complexities not least heritage, flood plain, topography, Green Belt, ancient woodland and an odd mine shaft.
Urban Green stepped in to drive the masterplan at a difficult juncture and worked positively through a series of iterative design reviews with Rochdale Borough Council and a Places Matter review to develop a contextual and positive response befitting of the setting. It took a concerted effort and collaboration with the project team which delivered a successful outcome.
