Working in our studio, the role is part of a growing team with a diverse portfolio of challenging and exciting schemes across the UK.
The position is a key role to support the business in leading, project managing and delivering multidisciplinary landscape architecture led design projects. A creative focus with excellent design and delivery experience alongside strong project management and communication skills is required.
The successful candidate will ideally be CMLI qualified with several years’ relevant experience within the profession and have a passion for design and the environment.
As a multidisciplinary consultancy, the successful candidate will work alongside our in-house urban designers, landscape planners, arboriculture, ecology and biodiversity net gain teams.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Leading and managing high profile multi-disciplinary design projects from inception to completion through all Landscape Institute / RIBA work stages and offer advice and the benefit of your experience to the wider team and the business generally
Managing, developing and supporting a team of Landscape Architects
Demonstrating strong organisational and job running ability
Working under your own initiative or within a multidisciplinary team environment on individual project tasks, employing good organisational skills
Lead and promote design reviews through a consistent quality driven approach
Maintaining quality standards and demonstrating efficient and profitable delivery
Essential Requirements
Minimum 5 years post qualification experience
A creative and talented designer
Demonstrable experience in leading projects and coordinating a team effort
Experience in undertaking detailed design and delivery of projects
Strong CAD and graphic (Adobe) capability
Aspirations to work on innovative schemes
Keen interest in landscape / environment
Initiative and drive, with a positive attitude
Strong knowledge of current planning and environmental legislation
Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to deadlines
Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal skills and able to work at all levels with colleagues and clients
Experience of NBS Specification Manager, Sketchup
Experience in delivery of projects in public realm, residential, leisure and commercial sectors
Desirable Requirements
Experience in EIA and LVIA projects utilising GLVIA and other current guidance an advantage
Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
