Seasonal Field Ecologist Vacancies

Are you an undergraduate/graduate working towards a degree/qualification?

Urban Green is looking for seasonal (May through to Sept) field ecologists to join our team on a zero-hours contract basis. This would suit an undergraduate/graduate working towards a degree/qualification in zoology, environmental science, biology or similar.

You will primarily be responsible for carrying out protected species surveys, including bats and great crested newts. Please note that you will not need to have performed these duties previously, but you must have a willingness to learn new skills and the ability to assimilate information.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work out-of-hours, including evenings and early mornings
• Willingness to work outdoors, sometimes in unfavourable weather conditions
• Passionate about wildlife and the environment
• Co-operative and reliable
• Enthusiastic and keen to pursue an environmental/wildlife career
• Previous ecology survey experience would be favourable
• Ability to drive and use of own vehicle would be an advantage
