This former brownfield site previously occupied by various council buildings, will be transformed into a vibrant new community, delivering 124 affordable homes and an 80 room extra care facility. The scheme, supported by Homes England and the Liverpool Combined Authority’s Brownfield Land Fund, forms a key component of Wirral Council’s regeneration strategy.
Urban Green’s landscape design introduced BNG positive amenity areas, high quality public realm and safe, inclusive outdoor environments for residents. The design draws on the site’s urban character while integrating natural features to support wellbeing, biodiversity, and local identity. Collaboration between ecology, landscape, and arboriculture teams ensured consistency across environmental disciplines and strong planning outcomes.
The proposed design delivers accessible green spaces, improved ecological value, and a welcoming street scene that enhances both resident experience and the wider communities.
