Plans for 250 Great Harwood homes approved within Green Belt

Outline planning was approved to build up to 250 new homes, 4 sports pitches and an associated building to house changing facilities and a sports facility located within green belt. A mix of 2, 3 and 4-bed family homes will be built on a 7 hectare development site, the location of Lyndon playing fields, while the new FA-standard  sports pitches and changing and parking facilities will be created on a second 5 hectare site 100m away will be better support Great Harwood Rovers FC’s 20 youth and junior teams.

A landscape masterplan was developed with a typical housing mix and design guide that were befitting of the existing urban fabric. An existing children’s play area located on the land where the homes are planned will be significantly extended and improved.

Keepmoat Homes acquired the site and are currently on site.
