Urban Green recently supported the ‘Have a Go’ event organised by the North West Construction Hub (NWCH). Pupils from local secondary schools were introduced to STEM and professional roles within the construction industry through interactive groups tasks.
Rosie McEwing, our ecologist delivered an environmental activity, asking pupils to take the role as a landscape architect and to design a tree planting scheme for a residential site. They were asked to choose which trees to plant along with their location based upon their individual environmental benefits and consideration of the surrounding areas e.g. the main road and river.
