The house, originally built in 1850 by George Webster, the Kendal Architect of the local Underley Hall and Holker Hall in the style of an Italian villa, will be extensively renovated and extended to include a new front canopy to the main house, an indoor swimming pool and gymnasium within a converted wing along with alterations to the garden to create an impressive formal lawn, MUGA, kitchen garden, woodland walk and a formal gated entrance.
Urban Green worked closely with DAY Architectural and Indigo Planning to prepare the masterplan, stunning visualisations of the proposed development and arboriculture report in support of the planning application.
The landscape and garden design carefully considers the character of the area and aims to safeguard and enhance it as sensitively as possible, working with the existing structure and mature features. The internal and external CGI’s have aided the client to visualise his aspirations and support the planning requirements.
Martin King, Director of Urban Green explains “We are really pleased to have worked with an ambitious client and progressive consultant team in gaining consent for this exciting scheme. The technical and design work to date has met the client’s aspirations and we are looking forward to continuing the project through to construction and delivery.”
