Do I Need a Nesting Bird Survey?

Nesting birds can halt site clearance works and demolition should they be found on site, causing unexpected delays to programme and increased costs.

Whilst it is advisable to carry out vegetation clearance outside of the nesting season, works can be carried out during this period, so long as it is preceded by a nesting bird check by a qualified, experienced ecologist to confirm no active nests are present.

Some species of birds nest in buildings therefore demolition during nesting season may also require a nesting bird check.
