The quirkily-named Well-i-Hole Farm near Oldham represented an opportunity to restore and enhance an existing campsite into a high quality, AA-rated leisure and tourism destination.
Urban Green worked closely with our client to shape the brief and develop an innovative and commercially viable solution befitting of the greenbelt setting. Aboriculture and ecology surveys were completed to gain understand the constraints of the site.
The proposed landscape masterplan reinvigorates the site and offering a high-quality tourism and leisure destination. A variety of uses include the conversion of the farmhouse into a B&B, the reinstatement of the barn to self-catering holiday cottages, a farm shop, cafe and caravan and camping facilities.
Consultation gained support from both the local community and Planning Authority.
The planning application was submitted and approved in 2019.
