The £60m new industrial development will deliver 544,000 sqft of commercial/industrial space next to Lancashire Business Park in South Ribble on the historic site. It will offer a mix of industrial and logistics space with ancillary offices and 506 car parking spaces, providing flexibility to any business type or size. The scale of new jobs in the area created by the scheme, during construction and operation is anticipated to deliver a huge benefit to the local economy.
On behalf of industrial and commercial developer the Caddick Group, Urban Green led the masterplan and development parameters for the 22ha. site, alongside completing the accompanying Design and Access Statement (DAS), Landscape and Visual Assessment (LVA), landscape design and tree and ecology surveys to provide a comprehensive and integrated design solution for the site.
A major element is the inclusion of a significant ecological enhancement area that includes the sustainable drainage solution which provided informal and improved pedestrian access and areas for recreational use as well as significant biodiversity net gain alongside the River Lostock Corridor.
